Tamagawa vs Dynapar

Tamagawa and Tamagawa-Seiki have been the standard in heavy-duty resolvers for harsh environments. Now, Dynapar has introduced their own line of heavy-duty resolvers that compete head-on with Tamagawa, offering upgraded mounting and unsurpassed reliability. With a long history designing and building encoders and resolvers, Dynapar has taken their experience and developed the R56 and RF25 Series under the Northstar name. Not only do these new resolvers mount on the same footprint as a Tamagawa, but they incorporate a cast iron mounting foot, which is more durable and better able to resist vibration. The electronics in the new R56 and RF25 Series offers Dynapar’s state-of-the-art resolver components and software for years of reliable operation. Furthermore, because these are made in the USA, lead-times are only 1-2 weeks and pricing is very competitive.

West Control Solutions

PlastX6 Plastics Extrusion Temperature Controller

The West PlastX6 discrete 1/16 DIN temperature controller is designed specifically for plastic extrusion processes.  Users benefit from a simple menu structure with pre-populated setup fields containing common default parameters for injection molding applications.  Control options include Heat & Heat/Cool as well as ramping capability to protect against heater burn out.  The PlastX6 can also be used as a stand-alone process indicator to measure melt temperature.

Precision Digital

Introduces Their ConsoliDator+ Multi-Channel Controller

The ConsoliDator+, from Precision Digital, is a multi-channel controller that is both easy to use and satisfies a wide variety of process display, alarm and control applications. It accepts 4-20 mA inputs, flow meter pulse inputs, digital inputs, and Modbus RTU inputs and displays them both in numeric and bargraph format on a large, 5.7" color display. It can be equipped with multiple relays with user-definable actions, 4-20 mA outputs, digital outputs, Modbus RTU, and Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP protocol communication capabilities. Additionally, the controller is equipped with up to 32 timers that can be used to control many processes or events.

All this functionality is easily programmed using free software or via the front panel pushbuttons. Choose the model that best suits your application, from monitoring only to fully loaded controllers with an extensive combination of inputs, outputs and communication protocols. The standard product offering is listed in the ordering guide and other models are available for special order.

Dwyer Instruments

Series 3400 Smart Pressure Transmitter

Dwyer Instruments new Series 3400 pressure transmitter is a microprocessor-based high performance transmitter, which has flexible pressure calibration, push button configuration, and is programmable using HART® Communication. The transmitter software compensates for thermal effects, improving performance. EEPROM stores configuration settings and stores sensor correction coefficients in the event of shutdowns or power loss. The Series 3400 can be configured to be ATEX or IECEX approved for use in hazardous (classified) locations.

Dynapar Onsite

Online Condition Monitoring System

The Dynapar family of encoders, which include NorthStar, Hengstler, Acuro, Harowe, and LakeShore, has now developed an online system for monitoring speed, acceleration, temperature, and vibration of motors and process equipment.  Alarms can be set and correlations can be drawn to a machine’s running conditions to detect a change of state.  All of this is stored and accessed on the cloud via computer or smart phone.  It is designed to survive in harsh environments that may be dangerous or too remote to send route teams on a regular basis. you predict issues in advance.
